The RSL Villas is a 55 place aged care facility owned by the RSL who contracted the James Brown Memorial Trust to develop the operation for the specific benefit of returned service men and women, their widows and widowers and other older persons with a services connection. Nevertheless, the home always considers applications from potential residents from a non service background when vacancies arise.The facility which was originally built in 1999 was further extended and upgraded in 2007 to include a comprehensive internal fire sprinkler system. Prospective residents are offered a choice from 55 single rooms each complete with private en-suite bathroom. The building was designed as five self contained Villas, each providing an intimate dining and lounge room to complement the residents’ own private and spacious bedrooms. The well trained and educated staff comprise a dedicated team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care-workers, supported by an excellent team of lifestyle aides, and hospitality staff. The home provides both low care and high care support for approved older people and includes a comprehensive range of special care/dementia care support in a purpose built and furnished wing of the home.
