Government early on recognized the importance of the Trust to the health and welfare of its citizens. The Trust has been recognized for the humanitarian work it undertakes for the benefit of the frail, aged, infirm, disabled and homeless, and it has been declared a Public Benevolent Institution. As a result, Charitable Status has been granted to James Brown Memorial Trust, and donations to the organization attract Gift Deduction Eligibility to the Donor for the purposes of income tax.
